Chapter 21: The Awe of the Sky Patrol Giant Ship

Chapter 21: The Awe of the Sky Patrol Giant Ship

Before 7:00 AM, the sky had already brightened, the crimson sun casting its radiant light across the heavens.

Outside the Disciples' Hall of the Huntian Dao Academy, hundreds had gathered.

Chen Feng, dressed in a brand-new blue-cloud-patterned white robe with the Hundred Refinements Sword at his waist, strode forward with his head held high. Spotting Li Xinyue waving at him with a bright smile, he quickened his pace, a faint grin playing on his lips.

"Nervous?" Li Xinyue asked.

"A little," Chen Feng replied with a chuckle.

"Me too," Li Xinyue admitted after taking a deep breath. The two laughed, their tension easing slightly.

The next moment, Chen Feng's eyes sharpened, a cold glint flashing in their depths.

Li Xinyue immediately noticed the change in his expression and followed his gaze to a group of people surrounding two figures.

"Ye Yunqi… Yang Xuening…"

A trace of icy ruthlessness flickered in Chen Feng's eyes.

As if sensing his stare, Ye Yunqi's arrogant gaze shifted toward him. Recognizing Chen Feng, he paused briefly, a memory surfacing before his eyes turned as sharp as blades. Beside him, Yang Xuening, ever attentive to Ye Yunqi's movements, followed his line of sight.

"It's him!"

Yang Xuening's face paled instantly.

After humiliating Chen Feng last time, she had secluded herself with Ye Yunqi for training and only emerged a few days prior, paying no attention to Chen Feng's affairs.

In her eyes, Chen Feng was nothing more than a worthless nobody.

Even if he had started cultivating seriously now, what difference would it make?

It was already far too late.

Never had she imagined she would see him here.

"Could he have already broken through to the Seventh Level of the Body Forging Realm?" Yang Xuening couldn't comprehend it.

As for Ye Yunqi, he too had paid no heed to Chen Feng. The rest of the Ye Family had similarly dismissed him, and this neglect meant Ye Yunqi remained unaware of Chen Feng's recent progress.

Withdrawing his gaze, Chen Feng's expression returned to normal as he and Li Xinyue moved toward the crowd.

Now was not the time to settle scores with Ye Yunqi and Yang Xuening. Everything… would wait until after the Huntian Sect's assessment.

"7:00 AM has arrived. All disciples, heed my command—follow me at once!"

A deep, resonant voice boomed across the gathering. Several figures dashed past, appearing before the two to three hundred academy disciples. Without pause, they immediately led the way out of the academy.

"Let's go," Li Xinyue said to Chen Feng, her face brimming with indescribable excitement and joy.

The disciples, all at the latter three levels of the Body Forging Realm, surged forward like a school of fish streaming toward the academy gates. Soon, they rushed out onto the broad streets of Huntian City.

"Instructor, where are we heading?" Chen Feng asked curiously as he strode forward.

"Likely outside the city. The Huntian Sect will send someone to receive us," Li Xinyue replied.

Ten li outside Huntian City's north gate lay a vast training ground—immense, flat, and impeccably clean, without a speck of dust in sight.

The two to three hundred disciples gathered there one after another.

"Silence and form ranks. No wandering," commanded the usually elusive Academy Head, his hands clasped behind his back. His stern gaze swept over them, imposing an overwhelming pressure.

"Instructor, how will we reach the Huntian Sect?" Chen Feng whispered.

"From what I've learned over the years, the Huntian Sect is located incredibly far from our Great Xia Kingdom, beyond the reach of ordinary travel. That's why the Huntian Sect sends the Sky Patrol Giant Ship to fetch us," Li Xinyue whispered in response.

"The Sky Patrol Giant Ship..."

Chen Feng instinctively looked up at the azure sky, his eyes narrowing involuntarily. A black dot had appeared on the horizon, rapidly expanding at an astonishing speed.

"It's coming..."

"The Huntian Sect's Sky Patrol Giant Ship is approaching..."

Others soon noticed the swiftly approaching dot and gasped in awe, their gazes locking onto it.

As the dot grew larger, Chen Feng, with his sharper vision, was the first to discern the vague outline of a ship gradually coming into focus.

It was a pitch-black vessel adorned with golden cloud patterns, exuding an air of understated luxury and mystery. Though its size was still unclear at first, as the ship drew nearer, it blotted out the morning sun, casting an enormous shadow over the land—as if a piece of the sky itself had been eclipsed.

"So... massive!"

Whether it was Chen Feng or the other academy disciples, all stared dumbfounded at the colossal black-and-gold ship slowly descending from above. An indescribable shock surged through them, leaving their bodies trembling uncontrollably.

"A thousand meters..."

Chen Feng estimated its length and couldn't help but suck in a sharp breath.

The black ship, embellished with golden cloud motifs, stretched an astonishing kilometer in length, with a width exceeding a hundred meters. As it descended, its gargantuan hull split the air beneath it, forcing currents to surge outward like waves parting before a prow. The resulting shockwaves rolled violently to either side, unleashing deafening roars.

An oppressive aura bore down from a kilometer above, making the disciples shudder violently, their breaths ragged and faces pale.

Some even swayed unsteadily, as if battered by a fierce gale.

Under the gaze of countless eyes, the black-and-gold ship finally came to a halt, its base hovering roughly three meters above the ground.

"Two hundred meters tall!" Chen Feng's eyes fixed on it as he inhaled sharply once more.

Truly deserving of its title as a "giant ship," it loomed before them like a mountain.

In the next moment, a figure soared out from the Sky Patrol Giant Ship, descending gracefully before the crowd. The man appeared to be in his thirties, his expression calm, hands clasped behind his back, his tall frame draped in a flowing blue robe that gave him an ethereal presence. Most striking of all, he stood atop a bronze disc about a meter in diameter, floating three meters above the ground.

The majority of the disciples' eyes locked onto the bronze disc, utterly bewildered.

"A... a person can actually fly..."

"Incredible!"

"A bunch of frogs at the bottom of a well. Once martial cultivation reaches a certain level, one can achieve Artifact Flight," Ye Yunqi sneered under his breath, though deep in his eyes burned a longing.

"Tang Jianlong, Academy Head of the Great Xia Huntian Dao Academy, greets the Sect Envoy," the Academy Head immediately clasped his hands in salute toward the blue-robed man standing on the bronze disc, his voice solemn.

"Senior Brother Tang, there's no need for formalities. As before, you may simply call me Junior Brother Lin," the blue-robed man replied with a faint smile.

"Junior Brother now serves as the Sect Envoy, so proper etiquette must be observed," the Academy Head responded immediately, pausing slightly before continuing, "Who would have thought that after just a few years apart, Junior Brother has surpassed me and broken through to the Divine Wheel Realm. Condensing Truth is surely within reach."

"Junior Brother believes that one day, Senior Brother will also break through to the Divine Wheel Realm," the Blue-robed Man said with a smile.

"Then I shall take your kind words to heart," the Academy Head replied, laughing.

"This year, the Great Xia Academy has quite a few disciples who passed the Preliminary Screening," the Blue-robed Man remarked, his gaze sweeping over the crowd. His eyes shone like twin suns, instantly subjecting the hundreds of disciples to an invisible pressure that made them tense involuntarily.

"I hope a few more will pass the sect’s assessment," the Academy Head sighed.

"Senior Brother, I hope you can break through to the Divine Wheel Realm soon. When that day comes, you may return to the sect, and Junior Brother will treat you to wine," the Blue-robed Man said with a faint smile. "The Sky Patrol Giant Ship still needs to proceed to the next academy, so Junior Brother must take his leave now."

With those words, the Blue-robed Man waved his hand, and twenty Cloud Ladders descended from the Sky Patrol Giant Ship, swaying gently in the air.

"You have fifteen minutes to board the Sky Patrol Giant Ship via the Cloud Ladders. Those who fail will be eliminated," the Blue-robed Man declared, his gaze sweeping over the disciples without a trace of warmth, his tone utterly indifferent.

The disciples stared at the narrow, 200-meter-long Cloud Ladders swaying in the wind, and upon hearing the Blue-robed Man’s words, their expressions changed drastically.

"Form twenty lines and board the Cloud Ladders in order!" the Academy Head immediately barked.

The disciples quickly snapped to attention, adjusting their ranks. The leaders of each group burst forth at top speed, sprinting toward the ten Cloud Ladders.
