Chapter 39: Attending the Celebration and Reuniting with Ye Yunqi

The Canglong True Hall, one of the Nine Halls of the Huntian Sect, holds a status even higher than the seventy-two peaks. However, the Canglong True Hall is not located on any mountain but stands atop a floating island—the Canglong Floating Island, one of the largest floating islands in the Huntian Sect.

Chen Feng stood atop the sword light condensed by Yang Tao, swiftly arriving at the Canglong Floating Island. Countless clouds drifted around the island, and the roars of dragons echoed from within, carrying an overwhelming might. Chen Feng even caught sight of a hundred-meter-long figure darting through the layers of clouds—a massive, agile, and elegant form exuding an aura of domineering power, radiating an astonishing presence.

With just a brief glimpse, Chen Feng felt his mind tremble violently.

"That is one of the three guardian spirit beasts of the Canglong Floating Island—the Flood Dragon. It’s an eighth-level demonic beast with traces of true dragon bloodline, equivalent to the Rebirth Realm, the eighth realm of martial arts," Yang Tao explained while shielding Chen Feng to some extent. "The other two are eighth and ninth-level respectively. Rumor has it there are also some young dragons—you might even encounter them on the island."

Chen Feng couldn’t help but be astonished.

"Uncle Yang, Juejian Peak only has four people, not even a single cat or dog," Chen Feng sighed after a moment of silence.

"We used to have some," Yang Tao replied.

"Oh? What happened to them?" Chen Feng pressed.

"Stewed in a pot," Yang Tao sighed wistfully. "The taste wasn’t bad."

Chen Feng was caught off guard, nearly stumbling. Just as he was about to ask further— The Flood Dragon’s enormous eyes, gleaming with icy coldness, locked onto him. Chen Feng instinctively tensed, his spirit stretched to its limit like a taut string on the verge of snapping. The Divine Talisman Of Creation glowed brightly, continuously reinforcing his willpower.

"Chen Feng, the True Disciple of Juejian Peak, is here to attend the celebration," Yang Tao declared, still shielding Chen Feng.

The Flood Dragon, possessing intelligence no less than a human’s and understanding human speech, withdrew its gaze and swam away.

Yang Tao led Chen Feng through the clouds, descending onto the Canglong Floating Island. The island was vast, covered in endless stretches of towering forests brimming with vitality. A great lake mirrored the sky, creating a refreshing and serene atmosphere. Numerous demonic beasts roamed the land, each carrying faint traces of dragon-like aura, akin to the Flood Dragon’s.

In the distance, orderly halls stood in harmony with the heavens and earth, exuding an unfathomable sense of profound mystery.

Soon, a young man approached to greet Chen Feng, riding a disk via Artifact Flight.

"How should I address you, Junior Brother? Are you here for the celebration?" the young man asked.

"Chen Feng of Juejian Peak," Chen Feng nodded. "I was invited to attend."

After escorting Chen Feng to the island, Yang Tao waited outside—a rule set for this celebration. The Canglong True Hall, as one of the Nine Halls, enforced regulations that even the other eight True Halls and the Three Palaces had to obey.

Of course, there were exceptions—for instance, those beyond the Transcendent Realm, whom even the Canglong True Hall could not stop.

"The celebration is being held at the Shenglong Garden. Please follow me, Junior Brother Chen." The young man glanced at Chen Feng a few more times. After all, several months ago, Chen Feng had caused quite a stir, making it only natural for others to be curious.

Under the young man's guidance, Chen Feng arrived at the so-called Shenglong Garden in just a short while.

The Shenglong Garden was vast and towering, standing imposingly on the ground. Its outer walls were carved with numerous lifelike dragon patterns, as if giant dragons were opening their maws. At the entrance, guards stood watch.

Chen Feng took out his invitation.

"Chen Feng, True Disciple of Juejian Peak, has arrived..."

After glancing at the invitation, the guard immediately announced, his voice carrying far and wide.

"The successor of Juejian Peak."

"I’ve been very curious about this Chen Feng."

"We’ll see him soon enough."

Inside the Shenglong Garden, many turned their gazes toward the entrance.

A tall, straight figure appeared, clad in a long robe of blue with white cloud patterns, accentuating his upright posture.

"This person looks... rather ordinary."

"It’s said he possesses a Hidden Saint-Grade Divine Trait, kept restrained—but this is far too restrained..."

Once a divine trait awakens, a person’s essence, energy, and spirit undergo a transformation. Some divine traits even manifest frequent phenomena, as if eager to announce themselves to the world. Others are more subdued, remaining concealed unless actively invoked—yet even then, the bearer’s aura undergoes subtle changes.

In short, those who possess and successfully awaken a divine trait invariably exude an air of distinction.

Especially those with divine traits—they can sense others’ divine traits with greater clarity.

Everyone present was a bearer of divine traits, yet none could detect even the slightest trace of divine aura or fluctuation from Chen Feng, leaving them deeply puzzled.

Could it be that this so-called hidden divine trait was truly concealed to such an extent?

This wasn’t entirely impossible, given the vast and unknown variety of divine traits in the world.

What they didn’t consider—or perhaps refused to entertain—was the possibility that Chen Feng had no Innate Divine Trait at all.

Stepping inside, Chen Feng swept his gaze across the surroundings. The garden was incredibly spacious, as if containing a world of its own. He saw a broad open area, artificial mountains, flowing water, and meticulously arranged gardens. Twelve towering white jade pillars, thicker than a man’s body, stood scattered in all directions, reaching toward the heavens. Each pillar was coiled with lifelike dragons.

Dozens of people were already present, their gazes so intense they seemed almost tangible, pressing down on Chen Feng with palpable pressure.

With his increasingly sharp perception, Chen Feng could sense that the auras of these individuals were extraordinary.

Divine traits—every one of them possessed an Innate Divine Trait.

Not only that, but their vital energy was vigorous, their Force formidable, all having reached at least the Tenth Level of the Body Forging Realm.

Since he recognized no one, Chen Feng remained silent, walking past them to take a seat. The scrutinizing gazes, finding nothing noteworthy, soon shifted away. Some returned to meditation, others to conversation, each occupied with their own affairs.

Chen Feng withdrew his surveying gaze, slightly closing his eyes as he continued to contemplate the mysteries of the Juejian First Style.

The Juejian Thirteen Swords is a Supreme-grade Martial Art and the legacy of Juejian Peak. Passed down through generations, it has been refined to an exceptionally profound level, ranking among the higher echelons even within Supreme-grade Martial Arts. The mysteries it contains are astonishing, far surpassing Top-grade Martial Arts by more than tenfold.

Over these three days, Chen Feng tempered himself with his domineering, razor-sharp Force, yet he was still far from achieving the transformation into Copper Skin Iron Bones necessary to break through his cultivation. He estimated it would take at least several more months to reach that point.

Chen Feng also came to a deeper realization—the Divine Talisman Of Creation was not omnipotent. At the very least, it couldn’t accelerate his Force refinement and mastery of Copper Skin Iron Bones as swiftly as refining and absorbing pills had done. Previously, his cultivation had advanced rapidly because it only required accumulating Force, which surged effortlessly with each pill he absorbed. Now, however, the process was entirely different, focusing on refinement rather than mere expansion.

Time flowed steadily.

Chen Feng immersed himself in the mysteries of the Juejian First Style. Within his mind, the divine essence of the Divine Talisman Of Creation swirled, sparks of enlightenment flashing frequently. The recurring sense of sudden clarity intoxicated him—this sense of achievement and fulfillment far surpassed any gains he had made while comprehending Top-grade Martial Arts.

"Ye Yunqi, True Disciple of Tiancang Peak, has arrived!"

A booming voice echoed from the entrance of Shenglong Garden, resounding throughout the venue and reaching Chen Feng’s ears. His eyes snapped open, instantly locking onto the gate.

Several figures entered in procession, surrounding one individual at their center—a person Chen Feng knew all too well.

Ye Yunqi!

Countless gazes swept over, scrutinizing Ye Yunqi as if trying to pierce through him. After all, apart from Chen Feng, Ye Yunqi had also stirred considerable commotion months prior.

"Is that the aura of a Saint-Grade Divine Trait? Truly extraordinary."

"Tiancang Peak has struck gold this time. With a Saint-Grade Divine Trait, if nurtured well, it might one day produce a Saint..."

"Speaking of Saints is premature. One must first achieve Dao Unity to even qualify, and that carries immense risk. Failure means all efforts will come to naught—just like that one from Juejian Peak..."

Ye Yunqi’s sharp eyes swept across the crowd before unexpectedly landing on Chen Feng. His expression darkened, and he immediately strode forward, his entourage following closely as they advanced toward Chen Feng.
