Chapter 23: Re-examination Concluded

Chapter 23: Re-examination Concluded

Each multiple-choice question in the senior high school math exam was worth 5 points, with 12 questions totaling 60 points. The fill-in-the-blank section was worth 20 points, meaning she already had 80 points secured!

The first problem-solving question—correct! The second—correct! The third was a challenging ellipse problem—also correct! And the final question—correct again! The Math Teacher's hands trembled with excitement!

Aside from the optional questions she left blank, every other question on the entire exam was answered correctly!

It was downright terrifying.

The Chinese, Math, and English teachers exchanged glances, none of them knowing what to say.

An Wen went to the cafeteria for lunch, where Zeng Xiuman had saved her a seat and asked, "How did it go?"

"Not bad. No need to worry," An Wen replied.

"Not worry? Let me tell you, while you were taking the exam, Shi Jing kept spreading rumors about you in class. Now the whole school is buzzing with gossip, saying you cheated!"

"What’s the big deal?" An Wen remained completely unfazed.

"You’re being slandered like this, and you’re still not worried?" Zeng Xiuman looked at her with exasperation.

"I’m afraid they won’t spread it enough," An Wen said.

"Huh?" Zeng Xiuman stared at her in confusion. Was it because their IQs were too far apart? She could never seem to understand An Wen’s words!

The wider the rumors spread, the greater the damage to An Wen, and the less the school could ignore it. Once she finished the science exam in the afternoon, she would settle every single score with the school!

After lunch, An Wen returned to the Teaching Director’s office, which was now packed with teachers holding lunchboxes and chattering away.

Seeing An Wen arrive so early, they were startled and quickly chewed and swallowed the food in their mouths before asking, "Why are you here so soon?"

"Because I wanted to finish early," An Wen said innocently, her eyes clear and pure, like a skittish little white rabbit.

"This student is really beautiful," the teachers thought to themselves.

The Math Teacher, noticing An Wen about to sit, hastily brushed a few grains of rice off the desk into his hand. An Wen took out her pen and the book she used to cushion her exam paper, then glanced at the crowd of teachers in the office.

"Are... all these teachers here to supervise the exam?" she asked, her expression utterly guileless. The Chinese Teacher, who had just swallowed a mouthful of food, choked in surprise and coughed while scrambling for water.

After drinking and coughing a few more times, looking quite uncomfortable, she said, "The Teaching Director will personally supervise the afternoon exam. We have to wait for him."

The other teachers in the room shrugged—they didn’t know either. They had just come to witness the academic prodigy in action. If she took the exam right in front of them, it wouldn’t be a problem.

Free proctors!

An Wen sat there, inexplicably feeling like a lamb that had wandered into a pack of wolves.

When the Teaching Director arrived, his face was stern. He handed An Wen the exam paper and answer sheet, then pulled up a chair and sat to her right, staring at her.

An Wen remained unaffected. After all, she had spent twelve years in the Entertainment Industry—being stared at was nothing new.

Once she finished, An Wen didn’t even check her answers before handing the exam to the Teaching Director, who immediately began grading the answer sheet against the key.

An Wen waited to the side, casually scrolling through Weibo.

After finishing the grading, the Teaching Director’s expression turned grave. He called the other teachers over, and they huddled together for a long discussion before he finally summoned her.

"An Wen, come here!"

An Wen put away her phone and walked over. The Teaching Director, sitting in his chair, looked up at her and said, "The results have been tallied. You did indeed score over 500 points."

An Wen nodded obediently, waiting for the Teaching Director to continue. He swallowed hard and stood up.

"Director, I have something to say," An Wen spoke up.
