Chapter 3: Di Cheng No. 1 High School

An Wen walked downstairs, and the housekeeper in the villa greeted her with surprise. "Miss, why are you up so early today?"

The original owner of the body preferred quiet and never allowed anyone to go upstairs while she was home. She often threw tantrums and refused meals. The housekeeper had tried to persuade her a few times, only to be met with anger, so no one in the villa knew she had been in an accident.

Though An Wen was in her rebellious phase and had a temper, the servants never complained about her. With her stunning looks and petite frame, they couldn’t help but dote on her.

After An Wen told Liu Ayi about her injury, Liu Ayi and the driver immediately took her to the hospital.

The next day, An Wen decided to go to school.

"Liu Ayi, I’m going to school today," An Wen said as she descended the stairs.

Liu Ayi wanted to dissuade her, but seeing An Wen’s determination, she could only say, "Miss, please be careful not to aggravate your injury. Breakfast is ready—you should eat quickly."

Liu Ayi set the breakfast on the table, and after eating, An Wen went upstairs to change into her school uniform. Liu Ayi insisted on carrying her backpack and escorting her to the car.

For some reason, this body had an incredibly strong healing ability.

Arriving at Di Cheng No. 1 High School, An Wen stepped out of the car with her backpack.

Fortunately, she had absorbed most of An Wen’s knowledge the day before. She had already been studying university-level courses and couldn’t help but admire the original owner’s intelligence.

Slinging her backpack over her shoulder, she walked toward the school. The uniform of Di Cheng No. 1 High School was the standard blue-and-white design common in China—a blue-and-white T-shirt paired with loose blue trousers for summer.

Yet, on An Wen, the uniform exuded an air of elegance. Her straight, center-parted black hair looked like it belonged in a shampoo commercial, though a bandage was wrapped around the right side of her head. A group of boys walking behind her couldn’t help but whisper.

"Look, a back-view killer!"

"I really want to see what her face looks like."

"No matter what, her aura is amazing. How have I never noticed a girl with such presence in our school before?"

The boys deliberately quickened their pace, and the moment they saw An Wen’s face, they froze in shock.

Where did this beauty come from?

An Wen noticed them and glanced back, amused by their dumbstruck expressions. She smiled faintly before continuing on her way.

"She smiled at me… so beautiful…" one of the boys muttered dazedly.

Before An Wen even reached her classroom, photos of her taken on the sly were already flooding WeChat and QQ groups.

[Who is this beauty? She’s wearing our school’s uniform.]

[She’s so pretty—is she really a student here?]

...

Someone recognized her.

[Isn’t that the transfer student who ranked first on the freshman honor roll?]

[The one named An Wen? Her name is lovely, and she’s even more stunning in person.]

[Even as a girl, I think she’s gorgeous.]

[She’s really aloof—she’s never spoken to any other students,] someone revealed.

[She hasn’t been to school for half a month. I thought she transferred again.]

[Good thing she didn’t. The top students on the honor roll must be feeling the pressure now!]

[She’s missed half a month of classes. There’s no way she can outperform them in the monthly exam, right?]

[True. The Rocket Class students have been grinding hard lately.]

Di Cheng No. 1 High School was one of China’s top four elite schools, and its students were all academic standouts. The Rocket Class, in particular, was filled with prodigies aiming for prestigious universities like Tsinghua.

But even in such a school, people couldn't help but be drawn to appearances. An Wen had been a celebrity in her past life—though a minor one—so she was long accustomed to being the center of attention. After transferring, she was placed in Special Elite Class 1. She was supposed to move to the Rocket Class after the monthly exam, but her leave delayed the process. The first thing An Wen did upon entering the classroom was organize the books in her desk drawer. Just as she finished, the homeroom teacher of the Rocket Class arrived.
