Chapter 23

At this moment, on the throne, the Sheep Tribe Guardian, having taken a hit from Qin Han, stood up angrily, bleating furiously.

Yet, perhaps due to insufficient aggro, the creature didn’t leave its position, only throwing a futile tantrum on the throne.

"If you won’t come, then I’ll just shoot a few more arrows!"

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Qin Han, mounted on Nightmare, rapidly drew his bow and fired, a relentless barrage of arrows raining down on the half-human, half-goat monster.

Damage numbers continuously popped up, and despite its decent recovery rate, it couldn’t withstand the accumulating damage.

Its health bar slowly began to drop.

Finally, the creature could no longer endure.

With a flick of its reins, the four white oxen in front stamped their hooves wildly, charging forward recklessly.

The massive throne chariot finally moved away from the bookshelf.

Seeing this, Qin Han waited for the chariot to approach before suddenly pushing Nightmare to full speed.

With a sharp turn, he arrived beside the bookshelf.

Standing before it, he swiftly pulled and prodded at the books in a specific section.

Suddenly, when he tugged on one particular book, the entire bookshelf began to rumble and rotate, revealing a sinister passage before him.

The Sheep Tribe Guardian, witnessing this, lashed the reins so hard it nearly killed the white oxen, desperately trying to reach him.

Unfortunately, by the time it arrived at the bookshelf, Qin Han had already dismissed Nightmare and slipped into the passage.

Inside the tunnel, it was eerily silent, completely empty, with only the occasional sound of dripping water.

The place seemed ominous, so for safety, he summoned Nightmare again.

Man and horse proceeded cautiously forward.

After an unknown length of time, a faint light appeared ahead.

"Almost there. The place mentioned in the guide should be just ahead."

A few minutes later, the light grew brighter.

When Qin Han stepped out of the tunnel, his vision suddenly expanded— a dreamlike world unfolded before his eyes.

Everywhere he looked, flowers bloomed in vibrant clusters, lush trees cast cool shadows, a small river meandered gently, and pairs of rabbits hopped along the ground.

Occasionally, brilliantly colored birds flitted across the sky, which was an impossibly deep blue, so vivid it seemed otherworldly.

Moreover, the world’s contrast was strikingly high, as vivid as an oil painting!

[Discovered hidden location: Peach Blossom Paradise. EXP +100.]

[Enough EXP gained. Level up?]

About two hours later, Li Ran and the other two returned under the cover of night.

Spotting the cave Qin Han had entered, they followed suit.

"If the boss went in to handle business, he should be done by now. Let’s go down and check, and return the money from the sale to him."

"If there are any scraps the boss doesn’t want, we can see if we can take care of them too."

Hidden Tomb, First Layer.

"Damn, this place didn’t look that big from the outside, but inside it’s a whole different story!"

"It’s huge in here!"

"But the monsters here seem untouched. Looks like the boss didn’t bother clearing them."

Liu Kuang and the others scanned the area but found no trace of Qin Han.

"Look, there’s a downward passage here. The boss probably isn’t on the first floor."

"Since the boss left the first-floor monsters alone, let’s clear them ourselves."

Facing an unknown map and never-before-encountered monsters,

As players, they naturally wanted to level up. Without a word, they found a lone Black Sheep and quietly surrounded it. Taking advantage of the Black Sheep's inattention, they desperately stabbed at it with three blades, and red damage numbers floated up continuously. Compared to the Wild Wolf's 2000 HP, their attack power was pitifully low.

Li Hao exclaimed, "Damn, these are just level two wild monsters! How do they have so much HP? My attacks are practically just tickling these sheep lords!"

"But, Liu Kuang, how is your damage so high?"

Liu Kuang dodged the Black Sheep's charge and quickly replied, "Hitting weak points deals ten times the damage. These sheep don’t seem too smart—aside from their ridiculously thick HP, they’re actually easier than Wild Wolves."

Following Liu Kuang's advice, the two struck again, this time aiming specifically for the sheep's neck and abdomen.
