Chapter 34

"What a pity, you refused."

"Last night, I originally intended to block you and force you to obediently go back and accept the mission."

"But when I saw you had already synthesized a Saint-level Token, I had no choice but to abandon the idea."

Qin Han nodded in understanding. He was well aware that once a Saint-level Profession Token was synthesized, all ordinary trial grounds would refuse to assess him. Even if the Village Chief wanted his help, it would be impossible.

The Village Chief continued, "However, once you undergo the Job Change and become a Saint-level Profession, your strength will increase significantly. Perhaps you could help me save my granddaughter in another way."

"Moreover, today you even synthesized a Divine-level Profession Token. With that, I believe this method will be absolutely foolproof."

Qin Han's interest was piqued. "Go on, what’s this method?"

The Village Chief stroked his beard.

"A year ago, the Sword Maniac’s wife was kidnapped by the High Priest of Thunder Poison Island. At the time, he vowed that whoever rescued her would be granted any request."

"Unfortunately, Thunder Poison Island is a forbidden land—not only is it wreathed in endless lightning, but the island is also shrouded in deadly poison. Aside from the island’s natives, no one can survive there."

"Attempting to enter Thunder Poison Island to retrieve the Sword Maniac’s wife is as difficult as scaling the heavens."

"Moreover, only players like you can enter that place. People like us aren’t even qualified to set foot there."

Upon hearing this, Qin Han shuddered.

He had heard of Thunder Poison Island’s reputation—one of the hell-difficulty dungeons for beginners.

The conditions for entering were extremely stringent.

One had to possess a Thunder Poison Island Teleportation Token, which was exceedingly rare.

It could only be obtained by completing a unique, one-time special mission related to Thunder Poison Island, or through sheer luck during late-stage beginner events, where the drop rate was minuscule.

Throughout the entire beginner period, fewer than ten thousand people across the Myriad Realms could ever set foot on that island.

And each Teleportation Token could only be used once. Once you returned, trying to go back would be nearly impossible!

Furthermore, Thunder Poison Island was teeming with poisonous miasma and lightning. Without sufficient Poison Resistance and Lightning Resistance gear, entering would be tantamount to suicide.

But— The more treacherous the place, the greater the rewards!

Risk and reward often went hand in hand.

Thunder Poison Island was rich in Gold. Even a casual stroll could net tens of thousands of Gold Coins, and with a bit of effort, earning a hundred thousand or more would be effortless.

That alone was enough to drive players into a frenzy.

Not to mention, rumors spoke of countless coveted treasures hidden on the island!

Some even whispered of the existence of a legendary Treasure.

Moreover, while others saw it as a forbidden land, for Qin Han, it might as well be a paradise.

With the Witch Poison Pearl in his possession, all poisons were ineffective against him.

His ancient armor set already provided 300 points of Lightning Resistance. If he could scavenge more Lightning Resistance gear, the threat of lightning would be reduced to a minimum.

With both major hazards neutralized, no matter how perilous Thunder Poison Island was, he now had the means to venture inside!

Steadying himself, Qin Han pressed further, "Village Chief, are you suggesting that I go to Thunder Poison Island, retrieve the Sword Maniac’s wife, and have him use that divine artifact to help you break through the Blackstone Domain’s space-time barrier?"

The Village Chief nodded. "Exactly. I happen to have a Teleportation Token to Thunder Poison Island. If you're willing to help, I'll give this token to you."

Upon hearing this, Qin Han was moved but remained cautious.

Thunder Poison Island was a place of great importance to him.

There was something he needed to obtain later, and he was currently short on funds.

If he could go to Thunder Poison Island, it would be perfect.

However, since this was a mission, and one issued by the notoriously stingy Village Chief, he had to clarify certain things in advance.

Qin Han said, "I’m willing to take on this mission."

The Village Chief’s face lit up with excitement. "Then thank you—"

But before he could finish, Qin Han continued, "I can help you, but what will you give me as a reward?"

The Village Chief froze at the question.

Reward?

What was that?
