Chapter 32: Heavenly Punishment
A massive hexagram over thirty meters in diameter slowly rose behind Yu Sheng'an.
Like a blazing sun!
Under the horrified gazes of countless citizens in Willis City, a twenty-meter-tall lava giant, its body covered in dark red molten rock, stepped out from the hexagram.
"March, if you dare destroy my people's food, I dare destroy your magic plantation! Smash it!!!"
A furious declaration echoed across Willis City.
"ROAR—"
The lava giant roared at the sky, raising its fists and slamming them down onto the magic plantation with devastating force.
"Hum!"
A pale blue magic barrier instantly activated, appearing above the plantation like an inverted porcelain bowl.
"BOOM!"
A deafening crash erupted as the giant's rock-and-lava fists hammered into the barrier, sending rippling waves of energy cascading outward.
Shockwaves surged toward the edges of the shield.
Like soundwaves compressed into a sonic barrier, they reached their limit—and shattered explosively!
In an instant, the released force transformed into a shockwave, hurling debris and dust into the sky!
Without pause, the lava giant charged deeper into the plantation, its massive feet trampling priceless plants into ash.
Globs of scorching magma dripped from its body, landing like a curse of annihilation—wherever they fell, nothing survived.
In moments, flames spread, and ashes stretched for miles.
The thunderous stomps left the trailing crowd in stunned silence.
"What… is that?"
At this moment, every soul in Willis City was struck dumb.
Eyes widened, jaws dropped—some even forgot to scream or flee.
By the time they snapped out of it, escape was pointless.
All they could do was watch in terror as the colossal figure wreaked havoc—and the young man behind it.
Of course, some were so awestruck their faces flushed red, planting seeds of ambition in their hearts.
Even the well-traveled magic apprentices stood frozen, legs trembling, sweat pouring like syrup.
In their minds, the suddenly appearing Ajef had always been enigmatic yet gentle, much like the Forest Child Doman—a scholarly mage, if anything.
Many even saw him as another Doman.
Yet no one expected Ajef to be a summoner mage—and this lava giant all but confirmed his status as an Archmage!
Even more shocking was his fiery, ruthless temperament.
Over a single ruined vegetable, he had razed an entire magic plantation without hesitation!
This was a magic plantation—worth its weight in gold!
To cut off another’s wealth was akin to killing their parents. This feud would only end in death.
As for Eileen, the shock struck her like lightning.
Her body trembled uncontrollably—not from fear, but from an indescribable thrill that shook her to the core.
Did… Ajef just destroy Archmage March’s plantation… for me?
Her gaze fell upon Ajef’s calm expression, and in that moment, a sentiment known as "a scholar dies for his confidant" quietly took root in her heart.

"March, I heard you humiliated Ajef's assistant?"
"How did you know?"
March turned to his friend Arthur with a look of surprise.
"This has been all over the Academy Forum for ages! I mean, you’re way too impulsive. What’s the point of bullying a mere magic apprentice in public? Not only does it ruin your reputation, but it also pisses off Ajef."
"Reputation? What reputation? I’ve figured it out—as long as you wield absolute power, who dares to wag their tongues? Was Dandell’s reputation spotless before he became the God of Magic?"
March waved it off dismissively before adding, "And Ajef? Hah! Just a lapdog of Dandell’s. What’s he worth?"
Many members of the association subconsciously nodded in agreement.
March’s words were crude, but they weren’t wrong!
"Everyone, judging by Ajef’s attitude, Dandell’s ambitions might be bigger than we thought. What do you all think we should do?"
"If it comes to it, we can always seek refuge with Lord Bell!"
"People can leave, but the land can’t..."
As they debated, a booming voice pierced through the villa’s countless defensive spells, reaching everyone’s ears.
"March! If you dare destroy my people’s food, I dare destroy your magic plantation! Smash it all!!!"
The moment the words fell, everyone instinctively turned to March.
His face twisted in fury as he shot up from the couch—just in time for a deafening explosion to shake the air.
"Was that... outside the city?"
"Oh no, judging by the sound... it seems to be coming from March’s plantation."
Once again, all eyes locked onto March, now filled with shock.
March could no longer stay seated. With a hasty Levitation spell, he bolted out like a man on fire.
The others exchanged glances before quickly following.
Nearly all of them were Red-Robed Archmages—some even Purple-Robed Grand Archmages.
But when they took to the skies and saw the scene outside the city, even their seasoned minds were stunned speechless!
March’s eyes burned red, veins bulging on his forehead.
"Ajef! I’ll kill you!"
His scream was hysterical as he shot toward the outskirts in a flash. With a flick of his wrist, countless "stars" ignited around him.
The stars rapidly expanded, transforming into unstable, crackling orbs of lightning.
Spherical Lightning—Thunder Magic!
"Die!"
A storm of lightning orbs hurtled toward Yu Sheng'an!
But before they could reach him, an unseen force intercepted them. Flickering arcs of electricity outlined the silhouettes of several Winged Demons in midair.
Meanwhile, the onlookers who had trailed behind gasped as the sky darkened—growing blacker by the second, like the oppressive gloom before a storm.
Looking up, they realized an enormous mass of clouds had gathered from all directions, pressing down like an impending siege. Lightning flickered within, like glimpses of a thunder dragon’s scales.
Terrified, the crowd stampeded back toward the city—though a few bold souls remained.
"This is... the Sixth-Level Spell: Heavenly Punishment!!!"
Eileen’s pupils dilated in horror as she stared at Ajef, her expression unmistakably worried for him.
Summoning magic was formidable—with proper preparation, it could easily create a many-against-one scenario.
A single summoner defeating multiple mages of the same rank? Entirely possible!
However, if one is ill-prepared, it would be extremely awkward—because summoner mages themselves are far too fragile. After all, this is Specialized Magic, with very few spell types, making countermeasures naturally awkward.
Just as Eileen turned her gaze toward Yu Sheng'an, the heavens and earth suddenly blazed with light.
Two blindingly radiant pillars of light forced countless people to instinctively shut their eyes. In that fleeting glimpse before their eyes closed, the crowd saw dark clouds roaring as they unleashed two thunderous pillars—
One crashing toward the lava giant;
The other striking straight at Yu Sheng'an!
Time seemed to freeze at this moment.
The world fell into dead silence.
When the dazzling light abruptly receded, everyone instinctively looked toward where Yu Sheng'an had stood.
"This is—"
Amid the delayed roar of thunder, all who witnessed this scene were struck dumb, their minds utterly blank—as if their very souls had been torn away!
A massive hexagram over thirty meters in diameter slowly rose behind Yu Sheng'an.
