Chapter 8: The Internet Can Be Play Like This?

"Master, it seems the Felix Magic Academy has banned its students from accessing the Internet," Luo Xiya cautiously reminded.

Given her nature, she would never have dared to say such a thing just a few days ago.

She would have pretended not to know and hidden away in her quarters.

But today, she mustered the courage to speak up.

Because ever since her master introduced the Forum feature, she suddenly found life becoming interesting.

And she realized she couldn’t live without the Internet anymore!

This was something she would never have believed when her master first launched the Internet.

But the truth was undeniable.

With the Internet, even though she resided in an Ancient Castle drifting alone in the dimensional rift, she could still stay informed about the world and learn about fascinating people and their stories.

From countless life experiences, she saw reflections of herself.

Watching so many people with tragic fates still striving upward, she suddenly felt that life still held hope.

Especially the students of the Felix Magic Academy—they gave her a sense of... belonging!

After debating and defeating one of Felix’s students, she seemed to have become famous overnight.

Almost every moment, students were asking her about magic knowledge, and out of sheer boredom, she naturally answered every question.

Having been subtly influenced by the God of Magic, Tang En, her magical expertise appeared to be at the Archmage level, but her actual insight was nearly that of a God of Magic.

Her answers naturally carried a foresight beyond ordinary people.

Now, many on the Forum affectionately called her "Youthful Mentor"!

Some magic apprentices even deliberately probed her true identity, hoping to become her disciples.

The feeling of being admired and worshipped was simply intoxicating!

It was like pushing open a window on a freezing winter day and having a ray of sunlight fall upon her—warm and gentle, like burying her face in a kitten’s fur.

How could she not care about Felix’s students?

So even if it risked angering her new master, she decided to try.

After her reminder, Yu Sheng’an remained silent for a long time.

Luo Xiya cautiously glanced up at her master and saw him leaning expressionlessly against the divine throne, eyes closed as if in meditation.

Around him, droplets of Source Essence gathered, forming a thick and surging ring of energy—a sight both awe-inspiring and intimidating!

"Master... won’t you do something?" Luo Xiya lowered her head and couldn’t help but whisper another reminder.

"What can I do? Go and smash the Felix Academy?"

Yu Sheng’an didn’t open his eyes, his voice calm, but it sent a shiver down Luo Xiya’s spine, her expression dimming.

Smash it?

Impossible!

There was a reason the Keville Empire could maintain its magical lineage despite being surrounded by the Five Great Righteous Gods.

The Felix Magic Academy was only banning students from using Divine Techniques—not the entire nation. It wasn’t worth Yu Sheng’an making an enemy of them.

Luo Xiya easily guessed the underlying reasoning.

"Luo Xiya has overstepped!" Her face darkened as she bowed slightly, preparing to withdraw.

"You care a lot about Felix’s students?" Yu Sheng’an suddenly asked.

"Yes," Luo Xiya admitted openly. "Luo Xiya very much enjoys the new role Master has given me. Exchanging magic knowledge with these young people has enriched my own understanding of magic."

"Young one? How old are you? I mean, your real age."

"Huh?" Luo Xiya was taken aback, her delicate face suddenly flushing red. After hesitating for a moment, she murmured, "I died and became a ghost at seventeen... it's been sixteen years since then."

"Thirty-three, huh?" Yu Sheng'an sighed.

What was this? A loli's body with the heart of an older sister?

"That's not... it only counts as seventeen!" Luo Xiya protested anxiously, instinctively refuting.

"Mhm, I get it—forever seventeen," Yu Sheng'an replied casually, his tone practiced and smooth. "By the way, how did you die?"

"My cousin disguised himself as a bandit to storm the castle for the sake of a noble title. Right before death, I transformed myself into a ghost," Luo Xiya answered calmly.

"Sorry for making you bring up painful memories."

"It's fine. It's all in the past."

"Then how did you end up meeting Tang En?"

"His Excellency Tang En happened to pass by and noticed my pure soul power, so he took me with him."

Yu Sheng'an nodded and changed the subject. "What do you think of the Felix Magic Academy's actions?"

"The Magic Academy is the core of the Keville Empire. Since you’ve touched upon their core interests, Master, their reaction isn’t hard to understand."

"What do you think I should do?"

Luo Xiya bit her lower lip. "The Keville Empire has stood firm under the watch of the Five Great Righteous Gods for a reason. Luo Xiya believes that when spreading divine techniques, Master should adopt a peaceful stance rather than provoke conflict."

As she spoke, a trace of confusion flickered in her eyes.

Wasn’t her original purpose for coming here different?

When had her thoughts shifted?

"A peaceful stance does help dissolve potential hostility from enemies! But—cede five cities today, ten tomorrow, and then enjoy a night’s peace? That’s not what I want to see. Appeasement without principles will only make the enemy look down on you, leading to gradual erosion."

Yu Sheng'an's gaze was cold.

Backed by five thousand years of cultural wisdom, he didn’t need to speculate about the Felix Magic Academy’s intentions—he had too many historical precedents to reference.

Call it a test or a warning, Yu Sheng'an would never abandon the students of Felix.

On a small scale, they were over a thousand high-quality users.

On a larger scale, this was a landmark event. Retreating now would mean endless retreats in the future!

If he couldn’t even handle a single magic academy, how could he ever infiltrate the preaching zones of the gods?

Luo Xiya was stunned.

Though she didn’t fully grasp her master’s words, she understood the underlying meaning.

"Master, what do you plan to do?" she asked, her heart filled with conflict.

On one hand, she wished for the students of Felix to freely access the Internet Forum.

On the other, she didn’t want to see her master clash with Felix over them.

Before her thoughts could wander further, the Internet Ring suddenly flashed, sending a message into her mind.

It was an Internet update notification.

Instinctively activating the Internet Divine Technique, her eyes widened in shock the moment she saw the new features. She immediately turned to Yu Sheng'an, her gaze filled with utter disbelief.

The Internet could be used like this?

......

......

Inside the Magic Runes classroom of the Felix Magic Academy’s second-year students, chaos reigned.

"Daisova, have you lost your mind?!"

"Archmage Brad, please don’t misunderstand, Daisova is just... he’s upset, he didn’t mean it!"

Daisova’s friends pulled him back, trying to calm him down while desperately apologizing to the instructor on his behalf.

The incident had erupted during the Magic Runes Class when Daisova openly questioned the teaching quality of the Felix Magic Academy, demanding to know why the instructors refused to disclose the Abyss Formula to them.

Just because most of us may never reach the level of an Archmage in our lifetimes, does that mean this knowledge should be watered down?

Even so, shouldn’t the students at least be told about it, even if the Abyss Formula wasn’t explained in detail?

Faced with such brazen defiance, how could Archmage Brad tolerate it?

"Do you think this academy is your home? Are we your parents?" Brad snapped. "We impart magical knowledge to you, and instead of gratitude, you dare to openly challenge us? Are you questioning the dignity of Felix itself?"

The rebuttal left Daisova speechless.

Had Yu Sheng’an been there, he would’ve easily countered: If you have the guts to run an academy and boast about educating the next generation, then have the guts to admit your mistakes. This hypocrisy is just pathetic.

Unfortunately, Daisova, as a first-generation internet user, lacked the basic skills of a keyboard warrior.

His face flushed red with frustration before he finally roared, "This damned academy isn’t worth staying in! I’m leaving!"

Those words sent the classroom into chaos.

In the history of the Felix Magic Academy, this was unprecedented.

Students had always been expelled by the academy—never had a student expelled the academy.

"Fine! Fine!" Archmage Brad pointed at Daisova, his voice trembling with fury. "Don’t think your talent gives you the right to act recklessly! This world has never lacked geniuses. Once you leave Felix, no other magic academy will dare take you in!"

"Then so be it! Even without an academy, I can still cultivate magic!" Daisova shouted back.

"Hah! Counting on that Internet?" Brad sneered. "I admit, there are plenty of experts there. But so what? Can you even tell which knowledge is correct? Can you be sure those so-called experts aren’t just bored show-offs? Can you guarantee every question of yours will be answered?"

Brad slammed his hand on the table, his voice ringing with authority.

"Take a good look around—how many Archmages achieved their status through self-study? How many Grand Archmages lack a proper magical lineage? If a few books were enough to produce Archmages, the Five Great Righteous Gods would’ve had countless followers long ago, and the Keville Empire wouldn’t even exist!"

Daisova’s face paled.

He had to admit Brad was right.

Magic was a rigorous science. It wasn’t a discipline where mastering a few high-level formulas made one invincible.

It required foundational learning, accumulated bit by bit.

Especially when it came to internal rune cultivation—without guidance from predecessors, a single mistake could lead to catastrophic consequences.

He had let his anger cloud his judgment.

Ever since losing that debate, his reputation had suffered a devastating blow. Having been hailed as a prodigy all his life, how could he endure such humiliation?

He hated himself for his arrogance, for showing off.

But he hated the Felix Magic Academy even more—for deliberately withholding advanced magical knowledge.

And so, this scene had unfolded.

He thought the instructor would indulge him as usual, but little did he know that even his genius paled in comparison to the collective interests of the Felix Magic Academy.

Just then, the Internet Divine Technique he had secretly inscribed inside his Magic Wand flickered, sending a stream of information into his mind.

He froze for a moment before suddenly bursting into laughter.

"Hahaha..."

"What are you laughing at?" Brad was taken aback.

"Has he lost his mind?"

"Daisova, apologize to the instructor now!"

The surrounding classmates buzzed with chatter.

"I laugh at your stubbornness and refusal to repent! Look, what is this?"

With a loud shout, Daisova activated the Internet Divine Technique, and a Virtual Scroll materialized in the classroom.

The students instinctively turned to look, only to see an unfamiliar icon appear on the scroll!

"What is that?"

"Online Classes?"
